Talking on the cellphones and drinking are the two most dangerous things to do while driving a motor vehicle. Almost 80 percent of the accidents take place due to these reasons primarily. The people should be aware and take a cab if they want to go drinking or for a party to avoid such mishaps from taking place.
Talking on a cellphone can be so dangerous because it totally diverts the driver’s attention from the road and reduces his concentration drastically. Sometimes the notification pings keeps the drivers so distracted that they take their eyes off the road for even a second, which would lead to drastic accidents especially on the highways and freeways, where cars are zooming at high speeds. The best solution to this is that the government should enforce a new rule that fines any driver who is found using a phone and driving about 1000 to 2000 cash.
There is no denying the fact that the number of accidents taking place in India can be reduced to a great extent provided that the drivers follow the traffic rules properly and do not drink and drive or use their phones and drive. Talking on the phone while driving is one of the most dangerous rules to violate. However, now all the bus drivers of the Uttar Pradesh Transport Corporation (UPTC) will need to be extra careful and alert as the UP government has asked every passenger to click a photo of the drivers who are seen talking on the phone and send the image to them through to a WhatsApp group that will be created by the government officials itself.
As a result, the concerned driver will be fined heavily while the passenger who has clicked the image would get a cash reward. This should really help in improving the safety situation on the highways especially.
