There is a reason why Cricket is the most loved and most played game in India. The talent which India has produced over the years has been magnificent.
Be it Sunil Gavasakar, Sachin Tendulkar or Virat Kohli, India has always been rich in cricketing talents and have produced legends of the game. Cricket is a very famous game in the Indian sub-continent and there is always a lot of expectations from the Indian supporters whenever India qualify for the semi-finals and finals of the World Cup or the Champions Trophy for that matter.
After a comprehensive win against Bangladesh in the ICC World Cup 2015 quarter final and the 2016 T20 Cricket World Cup, India are all set to take Bangladesh on in the Semi-Final of the Champions Trophy 2017. Bangladesh will be looking to take revenge and redeem themselves after two consecutive defeats in 2 major tournaments. But when it comes to the fans supporting their teams, they tend to take the result of every match a bit too seriously; they take it to their hearts. Recently a Bangladeshi Fan went and insulted the Indian Flag in front of the crowd just before the India versus Bangladesh Semi-Final that is scheduled to take place on 14th June 2017. This sort of behavior will not lead people anywhere. The fans should learn the true sportsman-spirit because no matter how good a game is being played, there always has to be one winner and one loser. Both the teams just have to put in their best and play the game.
The first time such an incident happened was when a photoshopped image went viral on the Internet. This picture showed a Bangladeshi bowler, Taskin Ahmed holding the head of the then indian Captain, MS Dhoni. This outraged several Indians across the globe. Recently another picture went viral that showed a tiger wearing the Bangladeshi flag and a dog wearing the Indian Flag, and the tiger is pouncing over the dog.
This is very insulting to the Indian Flag and the fans should realize that they are not the ones playing the game and they should just respect both teams and show true sportsman spirit.
