Sanjay Dutt is making a comeback to films with his revenge drama Bhoomi. What is more to it is the fact that it is Ismail Darbar, the music maestro, who has composed the background score for Sanjay’s comeback flick.

Ismail is a legend in the music industry and has delivered unforgettable music scores in hits like ‘Devdas’ and ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’ among many more. His last work was portrayed in Subash Ghai’s Kaanchi’ The Unbreakable, in 2014. It was Ismail who conveyed his wish to work for this movie, he shared, “I waited for the right film to come along. When I saw the rushes of Bhoomi, I was so touched and I told Sandeep Singh (the producer of Bhoomi) and Omung Kumar that I would do the background score.”

He further added, “I have known the two for more than 15 years and they understand the kind of movies I enjoy giving music for. Music is my soul, it’s in my blood and Bhoomi touched the right chord.” It is a big film for bollywood fans as it has been long since Sanjay Dutt stared in a movie due to his imprisonment.

The producer of the film, Sandeep Singh, is also all praises for the composer and told that the music has come out really well. He was quoted as saying, “we all love his (Ismail’s) music sense. He is a legend. I am so happy that he composed the background score for Bhoomi.”

The star cast of the movie includes Sanjay Dutt in the male lead, and actress Aditi Rao Hydari in the female lead, Shekhar Suman and Sidhant Gupta. With Sanjay’s major fan following waiting eagerly for their star to make a comeback, we can expect Bhoomi to do exceptionally well with talented star cast, and a strong plot base. The movie is written by Raaj Shaandilyaa and Sandeep Singh, co-produced by Sandeep Singh, Bhushan Kumar and Omung Kumar, directed by Omang Kumar, with cinematography by Artur Zurawski. The movie is set to release on 22nd September, 2017.
